42nd Festival of the White Truffle in San Miniato
San Miniato is a mediaval village on the top of a hill and overlooking the Arno valley. In November, the Tuscan town hosts the “42nd Sagra of the white truffle”, one of the most exquisite truffle festival in Italy.
The picturesque area of San Miniato produces a quarter of Italy’s white truffles (oro bianco), and November is the month when it get to the climax of their ripening.
The main square and the surrounding streets of San Miniato will offer to the visitors wine, cheese and other local products, a gathering of the most traditional flavors of Tuscany. Moreover, there will be open-air plays, art exhibitions, marching bands, arts and crafts markets and, of course, tastings of the luscious tartufo bianco!
The festival the white truffle will be happening from the second weekend (the 10th of November) until the last weekend of November.
